Elija Izquierdo de Jesús (born 23 March 1956) is an Auratian poltician who is currently serving as the leader of the Alliance of Conservatives and Democrats for Euclea, or ALDE. He is a member of the Euclean Parliament representing the constituency of Cuéz-3. He previously served as the Foreign minister of Auratia under Premier Walter García.

Izquierdo was born into a working class family on a farm in Manchavida, in the Auratian state of La Virtud. Izquierdo attended trade school to become a plumber. Using money from his occupation, Izquierdo pursued a degree in politicial science at the University of Puerto del Rey. A long-standing member of the Sotirian Federation, Izquierdo won a seat in the Assembly of the People, the lower house of the Auratian Senate in 1993. In 2005, he was selected by Premier Antonio José Menéndez to become the Auratian High Representative to the Euclean Community, the representative of Auratia on the Euclean Council. Izquierdo became Auratia's Foreign minister in 2007 until he was elected to the Euclean Parliament in 2010. In 2014, he was selected to become the leader of the ALDE.

Izquierdo has broadly supported the agenda of Euclean President Alexis Walker, and he advocates for continued integration into the Euclean Community. Izquierdo has said that he is particularly interested in bringing the ideas of Alvearism into Euclean governance.
