In Emerstari, a common system for weights and measurements was introduced by law in 1623. Before that, there were a number of local variants. The system was slightly revised by under authority of Erik VIII Olaf in 1737. Emerstarian measurements are similar to the measurements of its neighboring nations, and a partially standardized system is regulated by the Venson Union to ease trade and travel between. Emerstarian measurements are regulated by the Royal Society of the Sciences of Emerstari
