Erick George Louis Allaire PR MP (25 December 1979) is a Rubrumian politician who has served as the 23rd Prime Minister of Rubrum since 2015 and has been the leader of the Liberal Party since 2012. When he was elected at the age of 36, he became the youngest Rubrumian Prime Minister. He is also the first holder to be related to a previous holder, his father Arthur Allaire who was the Prime Minister of Rubrum in 1968, and later reelected in 1980.
Born in Ottawa, he attended the University of Lucis Columbia in 1994. He was a bachelor of arts in literature and studied again for a bachelor in business administration. He studied chemical engineering in 2003 but dropped out in 2004 and became a teacher in Calgary, Alberta. He took a one-year course in cabinetmaking and up to this day, still makes mini-houses and playground sets for children. He also took up jobs including nightclub bouncer and as a tourist guide.
In the 2008 federal election, he was elected to represent the riding of Papineau in the House of Commons. Later, he was appointed as the Liberal Party's critic for youth and multiculturalism, and later, became critic for citizenship and immigration. In 2011, he was appointed as critic for secondary education and sport. Allaire won the leadership of the Liberal Party in 2012 and led his party to victory in the Rubrumian Federal Election, 2015, moving the third-placed Liberals from 34 seats to 184 seats, the largest-ever numerical increase by a party in a Rubrumian federal election.
As Prime Minister, he undertook the legalization of recreational marijuana and granted a pardon to Rubrumian citizens arrested for use of marijuana through the Cananbis Relief Act, which therefore led the the establishment of the Alcohol and Drugs Regulatory Board. He enacted on the Indigenous & Immigrants Bill, which made all forms of racism against indigenous Rubrumians and immigrants punishable by law. It also granted the full rights between the two groups. In 2017, he established the Capital Corruption Law, which had made corruption a punishable capital offence by lifetime imprisonment or death. The passing of the law reduced corruption in the government and made Rubrum the least corrupt country in the Amerigonna region and the 5th least corrupt country in the world. Relations between Rubrum and the Erebonian Empire soared high with migrations between both countries increasing tremendously.
He became a vocal critic of the Global Neoconservative Movement and is against every concept that it stood for, especially the reason to conduct wars to push for their agendas.
In popular media, Erick has been a subject of many internet publications and memes. In Erebonia, he is known as Brother Allaire for his efforts in preserving the brotherhood and camaraderie of both Rubrum and Erebonia. When Allaire had found out his popularity in the internet, he deeply taken in and was very happy to be a part of of something he never expected. Allaire is popular in both his native Rubrum and Erebonia as a result.
