Request

On the inside cover of every passport, there is a note reading: The Foreign Secretary of the Republic of Gassasinia requests to all whom this may concern to allow the bearer of this passport, a citizen of Gassasnia or a resident of Gassasinia under our protection, to pass freely without hindrance, and to afford them necessary aid and protection as needed.

This note is repeated in Arabic and Spanish.

The text on the inside of the cover of the Argwani passport is different, and reads: The Government of Argwan Island requests to all whom this may concern to allow the bearer of this passport, a citizen of Gassasinia and a resident of Argwan Island, to pass freely without hindrance, and to afford them necessary aid and protection as needed.

Special Types of Passport

  • Black (Diplomatic Passport) - Black passports are issued to official accredited diplomats of the Gassasinian Ministry for Foreign Affairs. These passports denote one's diplomatic rights - including diplomatic immunity within the country that they are accredited.
  • White (Official Passport) - A red passport is issued to government officials, and is used to denote that one is entering the country on official government business.
  • Amber (Special Resident Passport) - An amber passport is a special passport issued to residents of Gassasinia who are not citizens in specific circumstances where they are unable to acquire a passport from their home country. Generally, these passports are given out to refugees, political asylees and stateless individuals who live in Gassasinia, and guarantee the same diplomatic protections, rights and visa arrangements as a Regular Passport.
  • Bright Blue (Emergency Passport) - Emergency Passports are issued by the Gassasinian consulate or embassy in the case that one's passport has been lost, expired, stolen or damaged while abroad, and they need to travel urgently. Emergency Passports generally only last for up to a year.
  • Purple (Temporary Passport) - A Temporary Passport is a passport issued to citizens and residents which restricts one to accessing certain transit and destination countries for a limited timespan - generally up to a few months. Temporary Passports are generally issued to pilgrims - particularly Muslims on their Hajj pilgrimage.

The Director of Home Affairs of Argwan Island is authorised to issue passports to residents of Argwan Island. Although functionally the same as a Gassasinian Passport, the cover of an Argwani passport is denoted as an Argwani Passport and includes the flag of Argwan Island on the cover rather than the Gassasinian coat of arms.
