Gathenya Kĩongo (born June 8, 1999) is a Zamastanian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Emerald Union since 2019. Born and raised in Angenta, Northern Isle, Kĩongo's parents immigrated from Unified Sera. Kĩongo played in youth leagues growing up, and in college was selected in the ZSL's draft by Emerald Union. He is known for his aggressive play style. Gathenya is a left-footed player, named by the Tofino Times in 2020 as one of the ten most promising young athletes in Zamastan. A tall and physically powerful striker from an early age, with an eye for goal, Kĩongo has been known to use his physicality to get around defenders. He possesses pace, athleticism, awareness, good link-up play, technical attributes, and vision, as well as an ability to get into good attacking positions or create space for teammates with his intelligent runs off the ball.
