Hortanhk Bolsar was a Drevstranese military leader under the Triple Crown and then a faction leader, de-facto leader of the country, as Chairman of the Transitional Emergency State until his assasination in 1916. Bolsar successfully deposed the Monarchy in a gambit to stop the spread of socialist ideas and more violent revolutionary or insurectionist ideologies by removing the institutions that had staunchily refused all modernization efforts proposed by the parliaments and replacing them by an Authoritarian supreme leader who would have the strength and will to enact the sweeping reforms he deemed necessary for the country's modernization.
Bolsar's Transitional Emergency State was never able to gain complete control over all of Drevstran, and was forced to permanently fight for control with socialist, independentist, conservative, and liberal insurections, while the parts of the Triple Crown's millitary forces he was unable to gain to his side devolved into Warlordism. His perceived failures and incapacities led to his assassination and replacement by his right-hand man, Abemus Kumar.
