József Puskas was a Krenyan-Lyonheimer soldier during the Great War. Born on the 8th January 1887, Puskas is known for having registered the most official kills for the Krenyan-Lyonheimerish army, with 450 registeered kills while serving in the 304th Sniper Division in the Lübbenau Mountains. József had an exceptional aim and earned great credibility for it, being awarded HSA (Honourable Soldiers Award) following his death in 1910 at aged 23.

Early Life

Born in Nudaretsky, a commune in Judapest, to two Lyonheimerish parents. He was noted by his teachers at his school to be very in-tune with his emotions, people even thought he may have been a homosexual, which is still unknown if he was to this day. He was an average student academically, however possessed a talent for cricket and football, being very athletic. His father expected him to become a professional footballer

Personal Life

When the |war broke out he was 18 years old, the minimum age to be able to join the military, so he did just that thinking his abilities would help. Training only lasted 2 weeks, as the army was desperate to get soldiers onto the front. He was assigned into a sniper division, the 301st, who sat in the mountains for weeks on end waiting for fights to commence. He would, according to soldiers that served with him, get a kill every few days and each kill he recorded in his journal, now published as the Snipers Journal. He went on to fight in the Battle of Andoma, where he performed at such a high standard that he was promoted to Sergeant Firs-Class following the battle. For the next few years he continued his high level of performances and was even noted down by the Alliance as a high priority target.

Death

In the spring of 1910, József began showing signs of malaria, making him extremely ill. He was sent to an on-site medical centre in a tent, where he passed away after months of fighting the disease, on August the 10th, 1910
