Karlus Klaussunn (b. June 19th, 1894 - d. February 16th, 1961) was a South Ottonian soldier and statesman. Initially commissioned in the Ottonian Federal Army in 1914, Klaussunn defected in 1917 to the rebellious Army of the Glorious Restoration in the Ottonian Civil War. Klaussunn would distinguish himself in Royalist service and become a leading officer in the nascent Ottonian Royal Army once South Ottonia was established in 1922. Klaussunn would be a pivotal figure in the Great Ottonian War (1935 - 1942), and, from 1943 to 1956, following a soft coup, Klaussunn would serve as the Chancellor and de facto dictator of South Ottonia. Klaussunn's government would fall in the wake of South Ottonia's humiliating defeat at the hands of the North Ottonian OFDS in the Highlands War that would occur in the Winter of 1955/1956, after which he retired to Onneria, where he'd die in relative obscurity in 1961.
