The Kingdom of the Isles of Velar was a sovereign state which, at various times in its history, directly controlled five of the largest islands in the Sea of Velar, as well as numerous smaller islands and significant dominions in what is now mainland Trellin, both north and south. The kingdom was a powerful independent state with considerable influence throughout the Sea of Velar before its annexation to the Trellinese crown in 1771.
