Ledigar, known in Ahéri as Ledh ti'Gara, meaning "Gates of Iron", is the capital and largest city of Hysera, situated on the southeastern shore of Pycara Bay. Since 1964 it has been Hysera's legislative and administrative seat, a status previously bestowed on Hyser. It is also the capital of the province of Hysera.
Ledigar is one of the oldest continually-inhabited cities in either Hysera or Trellin. It was the capital of the pre-Ethlorek Kingdom of Ledh ti'Gara, established in the thirteenth century BC, and was one of the most important cities in the Ahéri-speaking world even after its fall in 507 BC. It was a key imperial centre under Hyseran rule and was capital of the Hyseran Empire for much of the first half of the fourth century BC.
Ledigar has a population of over four and a half million, making it the sixth-most populous city in Trellin and Hysera and the largest city in Hysera alone. Its urban area sprawls along the shore of Pycara Bay, stretching north to the provincial border with Zha'tar and Pycara's city limits and westward to the sea. Together with Hyser it forms the main part of the nation's most heavily populated axis, which extends north from Maira to Aloyu, and is part of Hysera's industrial heartland. As the largest Hyseran port city and the one closest to the coast, Ledigar's port facilities are the busiest in the nation in terms of freight.
