The Legislature of the Kingdom of Kapuku (Kapukuan: ㅏㅎㅏㅗㄹㅗㄴ ㅏㅜㅍㅜㄴㅣ ㄹㅣㅁㅗㄴㅣ) is the bicameral legislature of Kapuku. A Kapukan legislature was first proposed in Meakhani's Kingdom but was never fully introduced. The official legislature of Kapuku was set in the 1536 Constitution. The legistlature was put into place to promote unity between the people, technocracy, and socialism. Prior to this the monarchs of Kapuku ruled under a noble diet.
Structure
The Legislature of Kapuku uses a bicameral system and consists of a lower Council of Technical Experts and an upper Workers Council as provided for in the The Constitution of Kapuku.
Council of Technical Experts
The members of the upper Council of Technical Experts are appointed by the technical directory with the advice of the Head Director. The upper council also serves as the court of impeachment for any government official. All members are very intellgent induvisuals, all with some form of higher education. The position has no salary.
Workers Council
The members of the lower Workers Council are appointed by the workers directory. Revenue-oriented bills are issued through the Workers Council and it also serves as the people's representation in the government of Kapuku.
History
Before the fall of Meakhani's Kingdom, a legislature was proposed. This greatly interested Meakhani be he denied it as he belived it would give the people too much power and threaten his position as king. After the liberation of Kapuku in 1534 AC, the noble diet was created. It served as the "legislature" for Kapuku until 1536 when a coup d'etat overtrough the monarchy and established the current government of Kapuku.
