List of current Knights and Ladies of the Rose

The Most Noble Order of the Rose is an Aquitaynian order of chivalry. It is the nation's oldest chivalric order, dating back to 1381. It continues to be the pinnacle of the Aquitaynian honors system (after the Elizabeth Cross and Urimanus Cross). Its membership is extremely limited, consisting of the Sovereign, the Duke of Acril- both being members ex officio through the acquisition of their titles. The membership roster may not include more than 30 total members, or Commanders. Male members are known as Knights Commander, while female members are known as Ladies Companions, as until the 20th century women were not involved in military service. After a royal patent issued in 1991, the title Ladies Companion was changed to Ladies Commander. The Order can also include extra members, such as members of the royal family and foreign monarchs, known as Supernumerary Knights and Ladies. The Sovereign alone grants membership into the Order.
