Lucius Plainier
Lucius Plainier PC RWC is an Aquitaynian Marine general who serves as the Commandant of the Royal Marines. He previously served as the Commander Combatant Command Insula Fera and Lorecia from 2016-2018.
Born in Cape Town, Aquitayne, Plainier graduated from the Royal War College in June 1986 with a Masters of Arts degree in International Relations and Military Strategy. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant following his graduation. After flight training school, he was designated as a naval aviator in 1980. Plainier later went back to the Royal War College as a Colonel to receive a second master's degree in Strategic Studies and Leadership.
In 2022, Plainier was nominated for promotion to general and appointed as Commandant of the Royal Marines by his majesty Samuel I.
