Meranuk, officially the Federation of Meranuk, is a nation in northern America. It is bordered by Vestby to the east and Jalleq to the southeast along with Finn to the south, Torio to the southwest, and Tora to the west by maritime borders. It has a coast with the Arctic Ocean to the north and west, the Kalaallit Sea to the east, the Qeqertalik Sea to the far southeast, the Disco Channel to the southeast, the Finn Sea to the south, and the Tora Sea to the southwest.

Meranuk is ranked moderately high in civil liberties and moderately in HRC-FS human rights. Hate speech is illegal, and there have been issues with vagueness of the law. Certain regions of Meranuk have shown instances of abuse of the law. All other civil liberties are protected. Social equality is a constant issue in Meranuk due to the high population of people using non-human Forever Bodies.

Meranuk is the largest producer of seafood products in the world, and also has the highest numbers of reincarnated animal population and species in its waters. The large exports of seaweed have been used to produce a variety of products from clothes to plastics to fuel. Meranuk produces these products also and exports to mostly American countries. Meranuk has large oil reserves in the western part of the country, all of which are primarily for export due to the country's high use of clean energy. The tourism industry is focused in the eastern part of the country providing a wide range of entertainment and resort venues. Meranuk also houses some of the world's best replications of historical architecture of many countries including the Eiffel Tower, the Forbidden Palace, the White House, and Saint Basil’s Cathedral.

Etymology

Meranuk is created from combining the words Elsmer and Nuuk. This was chosen when the countries of Nuuk and Elsmer united to form the current country. The origin of Nuuk is from the city of Nuuk, which is now in Jalleq. Nuuk means cape in Kallaalisut, and the city of Nuuk lies on a large cape. Elsmer was likely named after an explorer of northern America.
