Torio, officially the Directorate of Torio, is a nation in northern America. It is bordered by Tora to the west, Kota to the southwest, and Gatula to the south. It has a coast with the Tora Sea to the northwest, the Fintoro Passage to the northeast, and the Hud Sea to the southeast.

Torio is ranked high in civil liberties and moderately high in political freedom. Torio’s new director drastically improved liberties in the country after decades of tyrannical directors, specifically Quentin LaBone. The current government is writing a constitution that will change the government system to a constitutional republic. Moranis is the highest approved director in Torio’s history.

Torio produces a variety of electrical instruments used for medical, transportation, and manufacturing purposes. Torio is also researching immersive experience technology including virtual reality, video rooms, and lifesize simulations. In the past, these were mainly used by Forna and Free Republic, however Julith Moranis has since placed major tariffs and trade restrictions against these two countries.

Etymology

Torio is populated primarily of people who immigrated from the old region of Ontario belonging to Canada. Ontario is derived from Native American languages that relates to water. It is unknown which language or what the translation is.
