Miporna is the fourth-largest city in Qolaysia with a population of 622,000. It is located on the island of Lurnarau, directly northeast of the capital and largest city of Leonrau. A former fishing village, it was one of the first towns in Qolaysia to see substantial tourist development after the World War, and as a beach resort remains one of Qolaysia's major tourist destinations. It is known internationally for its long sandy beach, varied accommodation, many restaurants and bars, and many renowned surfers who visit from around the world.
