National Hesperidesian Theater Troupe of Nikolia
The National Hesperidesian Theater Troupe of Nikolia is the premier Hesperidesian theater organization within Nikolia, performing hundreds of shows at dozens of theaters throughout Nikolia and around Teudallum each year.
The troupe receives significant funding from the Blackhelm Confederate Ministry of Culture, which allows them to recruit and retain high quality talent, and also covers most of the troupe's travel expenses. The troupe is based out of the Marinko Bojanić Hesperidesian Theater in Beograd, and has several smaller subsidiary groups throughout the country - most notably the Hesperidesian Theater Troupe of Carigrad, based out of Carigrad's Imperatrix Flavia Augustina Theater. Widely considered to be one of the best Hesperidesian theater troupes in the world, the group routinely draws large crowds to each performance.
History
The National Hesperidesian Theater Troupe of Nikolia was established as part of the larger Pons Culturalis between the Empire of Exponent and Nikolia during the late 19th century. Initially, after the grand opening of the Marinko Bojanić Hesperidesian Theater in 1889, the troupe was largely made up of Hesperidesian citizens and expats, but as years went on they past their knowledge and styles down to local Nikolian performers.
There are still several Hesperidesian expats within the Troupe today, but the majority of performers are native born Nikolian citizens.
