Peke Hoekstra (born 30 April 1963) is an Alslandic politician and lecturer serving as the Chairperson of the Progressive Alliance since 24 October 2022 and as Mayor of Lanwjuk since 16 May 2014. Prior to being mayor she was a member of the Senate from 2006 and was an early backer of the Progressive Alliance and is a prominent left-wing figure within the party.

Political views
Hoekstra is a self-described democratic socialist as well as a progressive and a left-wing populist and sits on the left-wing of the political spectrum. Hoekstra is an advocate for the unification of the left wing parties in Alsland – namely the Alslandic Section of the Workers' International (ASAY), Social Democratic Workers' Party (SDAP), Green - Alternative Choice (GAK) and Progressive Alliance into a into a single progressive political force. She is generally considered to be one of the most left-wing political figures within the Progressive Alliance.
Within the party, Hoekstra has frequently come into conflict with Ottila Möller who represented centrist factions within the party. Hoekstra was the unofficial leader of left-wing forces within the Alliance who comprised a majority of the party's elected officials. She opposed the 2010 coalition agreement with Liveable Alsland as well as subsequent coalition agreements over the economically liberal policies presented by the coalition. She has argued in the past that ASAY is unelectable to the vast majority of the electorate due to it's association with other councilist parties. Hoekstra claims this is the reason she refused to join the party in the past as she was uncomfortable with it's close connections to other parties.
