The RES-200 starfighter, also called the 200, is a multi-role starfighter utilized by the Union Defense Forces of the Galactic Union. A joint venture of the shipyards of Nimia and Naccichi, the RES-200 starfighter is the Galactic Union naval forces' primary multi-role starfighter. Designed specifically for the Navy's galaxy-standard fleet, the RES-200 is fast and agile. Its proton torpedo launchers, armed with eight torpedoes each, gives the fighter a punch well out of proportion to its size of 16.75 meters long. The fighter is also armed laser cannons, close-ranged sensors, and contain a day's worth of consumables. The Union Navy employs the RES-200 starfighter in several capacities, including escort and starfighter combat. The RES-200 can be stored in most capital ships, most prominently the Canna-class and Niana-class cruisers.
