The Regional Environmental and Ecological Fund (REEF) is an Astyrian environmental organisation that functions as an international non-governmental organisation. Its headquarters are located in the city of Lema, in Cadenza. Established in 1974 at the Gran Hotel de Casuarinas in Monsa, REEF was conceived as a non-profit, international union of marine scientists who would lobby for pro-environment change. Its annual conference, the Casuarinas Conference, continues to take place in the same venue where it was established. It is today the largest Astyrian organisation dedicated to the protection of coral reefs, marine life, biodiversity and scientific research in related areas. In addition to its Lema headquarters, the organisation maintains offices in Monsa, Paradise City and several other cities. The Kur'zheti activist and marine geologist Ornadh Karenaga was appointed Director of REEF in 2012.
