Rhodeia, officially the Commonwealth of Rhodeia, is a country in South Africanna. With a population of 47 million people and an area of 1,161,674 square kilometres, it is one of the most diverse countries in Eordis with its inhabitants consisting of Europans, Asiannans, Amerigonnans, and Zemurians. Its close ties with Basel-Ebel has significantly affected its history since its founding. The capital is Magnolia, while the largest city is Vandemeerburg. It is bordered by Basel-Ebel to the south, Ingelmian Africanna to the east, Archadian Arithea to the north, and the United Republic of Africanna to the west.

Being the 2nd most multiethnic society behind Basel-Ebel, it possesses a wide variety of cultures, languages, and religions. Unlike Basel-Ebel, Latin does not have an official or national language status in Rhodeia but is still spoken by a handful of Rhodeians in everyday life. English, which reflects its history as a Lucian Colony, is the most commonly used language in public and commercial life.

Rhodeia has been known for its extensive gold reserves, many of which are still undiscovered to the present day, hence it was a target of many Europan powers during its early years. The first arrival of the Lucians came in 1889 when King Regis Lucis Caelum CVII chartered the expedition to expand, acquire, and develop the areas north of the Transvaal. Headed by Arthur Rhodes, the Lucian South Africanna Company raised its own armed forces and carved out a huge bloc of territory through treaties, concessions, military action, and purchases; most notably the purchase of the western regions of Galbadian East Africanna. Later on, the Ingelmian Colonial Corps invaded the remainder of the Galbadian East Africanna territories and assumed full control following Galbadia's agreement to turn over the rule of the region. The Inglemians then attempted to control Rhodeia during the First Europan War, which largely ended in failure.

Following the Statute of Herrenhausen, Rhodeia gained its right to self-government. It was ruled by a white majority headed by James Patrickson and ruling a population consisting of 40% whites and 60% blacks. At this time, growing segregation was taking place, causing increasing unrest and skirmishes between white and black farmers. Despite many attempts to try to curb the racial segregation, the Patrickson ministry could not curb the unrest. The Rhodeian Parlliament later on forced him out of power and was replaced by Anthony Makabana, who was the first Black Prime Minister of Rhodeia and headed the Rhodeian Progressive Party. Makabana's government (consisting of 50% whites and 50% blacks) introduced the Humanity Acts of 1935 to curb up the growing segregation in the country. With this, the act provided and assured races within Rhodeia of equal rights and opportunities. As a result, violence and unrest drastically reduced by 40%. By 1940, violence in the country went down at 5%. In addition, Rhodeia made racial discrimination punishable by law. As a result, public opinion towards the Lucis Crown surpassed above 50% of approval.

Rhodeia is considered to be the richest country in Africanna with regards to natural resources and has the 3rd largest economy behind Basel-Ebel and the Holy Galbadian Empire. It also possesses the largest port in Africanna in Vandemeerburg, which also serves as the country's largest city. The country is a Commonwealth realm, sharing the same monarch with the United Kingdom, making it an automatic member of the Lucis Commonwealth of Nations. It is also a member of the International Red Cross Association. Since 1935, Rhodeia has become one of the safest countries to migrate in Africanna.
