The Rim League is a Federal Republic that Lives completely on void ships and Space Stations. It is a Federal Republic situated in the Outer Rim, although it is known to very rarely go near the belt and inner system.
History
In the Year 1776 AD, The United States Of America, The Predecessor to the Rim League, declared Independence.
In 2097, when the Ash Wars Started, The Main Government of the US moved itself into space, protected by a Privateer Group. The two would combine later in 2103, when the Mainland US was destroyed in the Ash Wars. The Capital was the USS Torrens, one of the 13 original ships that would later form the Rim League.
Still 13 strong in 2299, they attempted to ally with Jammuka, only to be forced to fight his fleet in 2312 after the Inner Cordon forced their hand. The Loss of the USS Jamestown at the Battle of The Northwest Star had taught the USA that long-range weapons would be best for a now entirely-spacefaring nation.
In 2351, The USA was declared as criminals by multiple inner nations. They fled to the outer rim, transforming into the Rim League under Admiral-President Jay Marshall. Although his reign would only last 6 years, he had lived long enough to approve the design of the Stetson-Class Ships in 2352, dying later that year. Following the death of Marshall, The Rim League began a losing streak as they continued to retreat further into the Outer Rim, losing all but three ships before finally building a Stetson-Class ship.
For the Next Three Decades, The Rim League continued to build up it's fleet, although losing 2 other of the original ships, leaving the Torrens as the only remaining original Ship. While the full fleet was not fully realized until 2399, a majority of Stetson-Class and Washington-Class ships were built in this time. The Magnus II station was also established, allowing for a faster shipbuilding and resource collection.
In 2392, The Alexander Hamilton, the first and currently only Hamilton-Class Ship, was completed in the John Jay Shipbuilding Yards of the Oort Space Station. Due to the age of the Torrens, The Alexander Hamilton was voted to become the New Capitol of the Rim League, although being stationed on the Torrens Remained a great honor and duty.
In 2399, The Rim League completed it's 122th ship, the Stetson-Class RLS Spirit of Fire.
Politics and Government
The Rim League is a Federal Republic similar to that of the Precursor USA Government. It is split into three branches: The Legislative Branch, The Executive Branch, and The Judicial Branch. For more detail, please read This

The Rim League is mostly Isolated, although it is an informal ally to Irav and Noria.
The Rim League also maintains an anti-inner rim Policy, embargoing most inner nations.
Social Effects on Politics
The Rim League is heavily socially focused around a sense of Militarism and Nationalism. These factors play into the unofficial meritocracy. As such, The Rim League often Elects leaders off of Military service and National pride, and every President Under the Rim League (Excluding the Presidents of the Precursor US) has done Military Service and be an Admiral.
Taxation and Federal Donations
The Rim League has a flat tax of 3%. While this is small compared to other outer Rim Nations, this money is made up by "Voluntary" Donations. Said donations are often socially enforced, and not giving a large sum of money to the government can ostracize someone.
Military
The Rim League enforces Conscription of able-bodied men and women from the Age of 18 to the age of 22. Due to the culture of the Rim League, Military service is seen as a great honor and dying in combat is the greatest honor to have. Most people who live in the fleet usually have a Rifle and a soldier's uniform. This is so that if any active personnel are killed, a civilian who has previously done their mandatory conscription years must take over for that Soldier's place.
Army
The Rim League maintains an active ground army of around 250,000 Personnel. This is the smallest branch due to the lack of Territory needed to defend on planets. They are, however, given high-quality and capable fighting equipment and armor to protect them. Soldiers are often the first to fight when a ship or station is boarded.
The Rim League Navy is entirely space-based, made up of all 122 void ships that make up the Rim League as well as various fighter craft carried by the ships. The Navy consists of all the Classes of Ships in the Rim League, and is the largest branch of the Military.
The Navy is the First and Last line of defense for the Rim League, and it is where a majority of conscripts and career soldiers are placed.
Airforce
While there is no formal airforce, Adams-Class and Roosevelt-Class Fighters are considered part of the Airforce while also being part of the Navy. This largely depends on the situation.
Economy
The Economy of the Rim League is Capitalist, although Food is not available to be bought or sold as it is a necessity that must be rationed to everyone. However, commerce between ships is often. Companies aren't regulated much by government, with the exception of arms manufacturing companies.
The Rim League has a Stock exchange aboard the RLS Charity.
Energy
Energy in the rim League Is Provided by three big Companies: Poseidon Energy, Stateside Generators, and Tesla Corp.
Energy in the Rim League is produced via Nuclear Fission, and Uranium is mined at both Madison-Class stations as well as abroad by special Roosevelt-Class ships. Poseidon Energy is the largest, specializing in the Large Reactors used to power all 122 void ships. Stateside Generators specializes in electrical connections, and Tesla Corp specializes in smaller generators. There is fierce competition between Tesla Corp and the other two companies.
Industry
Manufacturing is often done aboard the Coolidge-Class Haulers and Madison-Class Stations, although ~30 Stetson-Class ships have dedicated Manufacturing sectors. There are no major companies save for Turner & Son Steel and ElectroLite Fabrication.
Infrastructure
All Construction of ships is produced by Government-Approved Contractors.
Transport
Transport between ships in not a major economic sector. Transport aboard ships is usually either by foot or by Small, 2-wheeled motorized vehicles.
Arms Manufacturing
Arms Manufacturing is the second largest, and arguably the most important, industry in The Rim League. Dominated by Companies such as Walther, Remington, Pachinko Arms, and Demigod Arms, this sector is heavily regulated, having mandatory quotas enforced by the federal government. While these quotas can change based on need, they are rather rigid and come with harsh penalties for not reaching them.
Weapons are randomly inspected by Federal Agents to ensure top-quality, and Start-Ups may be given grants as long as they meet quality and manufacturing quotas.
A Fierce reminder of the Federal government's power in the Arms Manufacturing Sector was the rise and fall of Vanterschmitt Rifles, a civilian arms company.
Food Production
Food Production is the most important and most regulated sector of the Rim League. There are no commercial corporations in Food Production.
Food Rations are distributed to the populous. Food May be bought, although it has strict requirements on how and when.
All Food is grown on the Coolidge-Class and Hamilton-Class Ships.

The Rim League, due to it's long time isolated in space and isolation, is mostly Caucasian.

Education
Education is divided into two competing Areas: Private Schools and Public Military Schools.
Private Schools
Private Schools are usually Religious and Military schools for the Elite, having a high tuition. Most start at the Kindergarten Grade. Private Schools do not need to meet government regulations, but they aren't any less in the quality of education. A Majority of career Soldiers are trained in these schools. Most presidents under the Rim League have gone to the "Jay Marshall School of Military Training and Tactics", also known as "West Point".
Public Schools
Public Schools are government-regulated schools are often centered around Military training as well as basic and secondary education.
Religion
Religion plays a large part in the Culture of The Rim League. 93% Are Protestant, 6% Are Catholic, and 1% Are Non-Religious. While Religion does not have a huge influence within the government, practices such as abortion have been outlawed due to the religious morality of the population.
Of Those that are protestant, 99% Are Lutheran, and 1% are Calvinist.
Culture
The Rim League surrounds a Culture of Freedom, Nationalism, and Militarism. They are openly anti-socialist and Military Life surrounds their every second.
Every Citizen's Life is scheduled as soon as they turn 18. While not a strict schedule, Citizens enjoy a sense of organization. Time is on a 24-hour clock based off of Terran time.
Soldiers are revered by the populous, and citizens tend to elect those who have done more than the required military service time.
Music and Art
The Most Common form of Music enjoyed by citizens of the Rim League is Classic Rock and Patriotic Music. Any Music with Autotune is highly frowned upon.
Cuisine
Citizens enjoy a healthy diet. The Most common foods are Spam, Cheesburgers, and Pizza. The Rim League Cuisine is rather limited due to food rationing. They Find more rich foods disgusting. It is also believed that Citizens of the Rim League have evolved slower metabolisms to counter the lack of food.
Sports
Sports Enjoyed most by Citizens of the Rim League are Football and Hangarball.
