SNTA is the Flag carrier and the largest airline in Zaralaja in terms of fleet size and number of passengers carried per year. The airline was founded in 1933 by the Functionalist government in Zaralaja to provide air transport for government officials and troops. However the country's surrender the following year prevented the plans from going into fruition. The airline started commercial flights in 1936 primarily from San Martín to various other domestic destinations.

The airline began international flights to Belmonte in 1944 and was nationalized by the Zaralajan government the following year. The airline began offering routes to Euclea in 1955 with stopovers in Valorea and Narozalica. On July 7, 2006 the airline acquired it's main rival in Zaralaja, the Gouveia based Austral Airlines which was rebranded to Linhas Austral Air.
