The Hon. Dr. Sak Nji MP PC OA (Shinasthana: 索爾, sak-nji; Nov. 3, 1912 – Dec. 9, 1988) was a Themiclesian journalist and Liberal then Progressive politician, serving as Prime Minister of Themiclesia between 1975 and 1981. He served in the Consolidated Army in the Pan-Septentrion War between 1936 and 1940 and obtained his PhD from Academia Shinasthana in 1947, specializing in economics. Sak later wrote an economics column for City Times and was involved in improvements to the medical insurance programme in the Liberal government in the 50s. He entered politics in 1957 as MP for Dok-lang and quickly became famous for his criticism of the leftwards-moving Liberal leadership. In 1968, he became a founding member of the Progressive Party, made up of dissenting MPs of the Liberal right. He became a Progressive cabinet minister in their first government in 1972 then replaced the party leader after his retirement. His premiership was highly controversial for his reductions to social services, rushed privatization of government industries, and military intervention in Kolodoria. In retirement, he continued to write for City Times, still against the enlargement of the public sector. In 1986, he wrote a highly controversial piece where he argued Themiclesians were far too conservative, constantly demanding public assistance when they have the means and opportunity to be successful on their own terms.
