Sisimut (Sisimutian: ᑎᕗᓄᓇ, tr. Tivununa) is a sovereign state in southern Rennekka and northern Frigidarum, located almost entirely within the Frigidaric Circle. It is bordered by Renneque to the east and by Collicura and Gabriella to the north, while being bounded by the Jade Ocean to the west and the Majulan Ocean to the east. Sisimut has a population of roughly 1.7 million in 2018. Tugaliaq is the capital city, while Santa Ileana is the largest by population.

Prior to the arrival of the Veleazan, Sisimut was historically home to a number of related but disparate tribes. The arrival of the Veleazans to Rennekka ultimately led to the establishment of the Viceroyalty of Yucon, in which the Sisimutian tribes were conquered and subdued by the Veleazans. Due to the largely inhospitable nature of the Sisimut region, however, settler colonialism was far rarer than across the rest of the continent, with only a few chartered colonies emerging, and no major Veleazan demoraphic presence arriving. During the Rennekkan Wars for Independence, Sisimut declared independence from Veleaz in 1797, and after fighting a largely bloodless war, fully secured this in 1800 along with much of the continent.

Upon achieving independence, Sisimut adopted a republican - but distinctly oligarchic, and traditional - form of government, based on governance by tribal elders. This form of government would persist until the 1920s, when calls for reform became increasingly popular. In 1929 this Silent Revolution came to a head, and Sisimut formally adopted a system of consensus democracy, with tribal elders relegated to a far less influential role in the Advisory Council. Sisimut kept a largely neutral foreign policy outlook, though this was changed in 2013, when Sisimut recognised Chawpisuyu against the international norm.

In the modern day, Sisimut survives as a non-partisan consensus democracy operating as a federal republic. Uniquely, Sisimut does not maintain a written constitution, instead the instructions and laws of state are kept by the Advisory Council in an oral tradition. The incumbent Prime Minister is Ningakpok.
