Sofia Mosoco is an Aisling aspiring socialite, singer/songwriter and dancer and is best known for being the daughter of Nicolau Mosoco, brother to Artur Mosoco, the current patriarch of the Mosoco family. Due to a falling out between Artur and Nicolau in 1990, after Nicolau was accused of hiring assassins to kill Artur and secure the Mosoco family name for himself, Nicolau was cut off from the rest of the family.
Early life
Sofia was born to Nicolau and Eva Mosoco, on February 2, 1999. Sofia currently resides at her families estate in Klavary, a wealthy suburb of Dinsmar. Her birth was the subject of much controversy as her mother, Eva, was only 19 at her conception and is eighteen years younger than her husband.
Career
At age 12, reportedly at the urging of her parents, Sofia attended a modeling audition for a new line of cosmetics by Avalon intended for young adults. Her identity was revealed during the audition and she was escorted from the building by security. It is widely believed that Nicolau Mosoco encouraged her to audition hoping to get her into a contract with Mosoco. In a rare public statement, owner and Chief Creative Officer of Mosoco, Anastasia Mosoco described the situation as both "despicable and sad, its sad that Sofia is used as a pawn by her vindictive father, and despicable that any parent would do that to their child."
In 2016, she accompanied Marisa Salaz on he 2016 tour of somewhere>. Though she is not under any label currently, and has no published music of her own, it is reported that she will be preforming several of Marisa's songs with her, and may also preform several opening acts showcasing some of her own original material. In a December 2016 interview with StarLine, Marisa explained "I am 100% all about helping up and coming performers make their way onto the stage. This is my chance to help someone make it big. Shes got talent, you will all see!"
Personal life
In 2013, Sofia was admitted to Dinsmar General Hospital for a "psychological and mental evaluation" after police responded to an arson complaint near her home. According to reports, Sofia had purposefully started a fire in an neighbor's yard following leaving home after a fight with her father. She was released after 72 hours to her parents. The arson charges were dropped following a financial agreement being reached between the family and their neighbors.
In 2016 she choose to drop out of school with her fathers permission to focus on her acting and modeling career. Later in 2016 Fate ran an article that Sofia was suffering from anorexia and was seeing treatment at the Blazina House; a noted center for eating disorder treatment outside of Fife. Sofia denied this on her various social media platforms.
In 2017, she was ranked by StarLine as Temuair's "Most Bratty Celebrity", though according to the magazines article, it was "a close race" between herself and Xulia Navia. Ironically, this has sparked something of a controversy between the two female socialites. The fact that Sofia refused to accept the reward, and even insturcted StarLine to give to Navia as "she deserves it more anyway" has done nothing to abate the feud. An unknown employee from StarLine, using the companies official Chirpr account replied to her post suggesting the two could split the award, and stating that whether she accepted it or not "truth was truth".
