Structure of the Emerstarian Navy

The following article depicts the structure of the Royal Emerstarian Navy and its services, including Royal Emerstarian Coast Guard and the Royal Emerstarian Marines. The Emerstarian navy's headquarters are located in Rensulier, Emerstari, and its commander-in-chief is the Emerstarian king or king-regent. Ever since the establishment of the office in the early sixteenth century, the position of Lord Admiral has been held exclusively by the Barons of Ljundstrom.

Excluding the Coast Guard fleet, which acts solely around the coasts of Emerstari and its overseas territories, there are four fleets in the Royal Navy: the Home Fleet (1st Fleet), which acts throughout Scania and northern Arda en' Estel as a whole; the Estelian Fleet (2nd Fleet), which acts throughout the remainder of Arda en' Estel; the Markion Fleet (3rd Fleet), which acts throughout Markion; and the Expeditionary Fleet (4th Fleet), which acts between regions otherwise not sailed by another fleet, such as in Aels. Navy personnel are purely volunteers, albeit levied in a system known as the Emerstarian allotment system, that also attains servicemen for the Royal Emerstarian Army and the Royal Emerstarian Air Force.

Home Fleet (1st Fleet)

The Home Fleet, or the 1st Fleet, is the designated fleet within the Royal Emerstarian Navy for the Halleran Sea, the Whales Sea, the northern Estelian Sea, and the eastern Estelian Sea. It is commanded by Admiral of the Fleet Harald Olaf Holm. The KES Else Johanna, the KES Kjarlotte Ingvara, and the KES Lorena Henrikke are three surviving ships-of-the-line, said to be part of the Home Fleet, but they are not part of any sub-division thereof.

Division of the Northerly Seas (1st Division)

The Division of the Northerly Seas, or the 1st Division, is the division of the 1st Fleet that operates within the Halleran and Whales Seas. It is commanded by Admiral Jakob Erik Njelssen.

Malmø Flotilla (1st Flotilla)

The Malmø Flotilla (1st Flotilla) is commanded by Forward Admiral Armund Frederik Meijer.

Estelian Fleet (2nd Fleet)

The Estelian Fleet, or the 2nd Fleet, is the designated fleet within the Royal Emerstarian Navy for the region of Arda en' Estel as a whole, outside of the areas which the Home Fleet cover. It is commanded by Admiral of the Fleet Ingmar Jakob Strand.

Markion Fleet (3rd Fleet)

The Markion Fleet, or the 3rd Fleet, is the designated fleet within the Royal Emerstarian Navy for the region of Markion in its entirety. It is commanded by Admiral of the Fleet Georg Måns Erikssen.

Expeditionary Fleet (4th Fleet)

The Expeditionary Fleet, or the 4th Fleet, is the fleet of the Royal Emerstarian Navy with no set regional designation. It is the fleet sent to regions without designated fleets, and in times of war, it has traditionally acted as a support to the local Emerstarian fleet already engaged in combat. It is commanded by Admiral of the Fleet Johann Martin Leuen.

Coast Guard Fleet (5th Fleet)

The Coast Guard Fleet, or the 5th Fleet, is unique among the other fleets of the Royal Emerstarian Navy, both in its composition and in its purpose, that of protecting the Emerstarian coasts and preforming search and rescue operations along them. It plays a prominent role in maintaining Emerstarian fishing laws. It is commanded by Admiral of the Fleet Rudolf Karl Ljundstrom.

Emerstarian Division ( Division)

The Emerstarian Division, or the   Division, is the division of the Coast Guard Fleet responsible for patrolling of the coasts of Emerstari proper and the Halleran Isles. It is commanded by Admiral Tregge Håkon Valterssen.

Eastern Flotilla ( Flotilla)

The Eastern Flotilla ( Flotilla) is the part of the Emerstarian Division accorded with the eastern coasts of Emerstari proper, including the eastern half of the province of Marland as well as the provinces of Hventii, Erk, Sjomark, Kjorien, Osterkjorien, Kjormark, Pallsejn, and Ønorkien in whole. It is commanded by Forward Admiral Henrik Thomes Loffssen.
