The Stridsvagn 122 Masada, also known by its MoD designation CV74120, is a main battle tank developed by Landsverk ASA for the Acrean Armed Forces. It first entered production in 1971 and entered service as Strv 122 the same year, succeeding the Strv 105 in the Acrean Army. Consolidation and reforms that shrunk the Acrean military during the late 1990s thru the mid-2000s saw the majority of Strv 122s in service be placed into storage, with the Acrean Army and the RAMC preferring the Strv 124 as a universal main battle tank. However, some units still remain equipped with the Strv 122 in order to preserve institutional knowledge.
