Sunwoo Electronics (Anikatian: 순우 전자; Sun-u Jeonja) is a multinational Anikatian electronics company headquartered in Antiytia. It is a significant a important part of the Sunwoo Group, the company operates its business through five divisions: Home Entertainment, Mobile Communications, Home Appliance, Air Conditioning and Energy Solution, and Vehicle Components. Sunwoo Electronics is the world's largest information technology company by revenue after ahead of Lollipop Inc..
After the Anikatian Civil War the new government pushed the now state-owned Sunwoo company into the electronics industry in the mid-1970s; Sunwoo Electronics created and these areas would drive its subsequent growth.
Following fall of the DSRA in 2001, Sunwoo along with all the major businesses in Anikatia were once again privatised Sunwoo was separated into two business groups – Sunwoo Group, and DN Group. Since 1993, Sunwoo has increasingly globalised its activities, and electronics, particularly mobile phones and semiconductors, have become its most important source of income.
Divisions
Sunwoo Electronics has five main divisions:
- The Home Entertainment division designs and builds televisions, radios, laptops, home theatre systems, printers for both consumers and business use.
- The Mobile Communications division, Sunwoo has been designing, manufacturing and selling smartphones since 1994. The flagship mobile handset line is the Sunwoo Cosmic SW, which many consider a direct competitor of the Lolliphone while the stylus based Sunwoo Cosmic Memo CM is considered to be a direct competitor to the RothPhone. While many other handset makers focused on one or two operating systems, Sunwoo uses several including vyOS Mobile, and Sunwoo's proprietary operating system.
- The Home Appliance division designs and builds washing machines, dishwashers, fridges, dryers and other appliances for consumers and business use.
- The Air Conditioning and Energy Solution, a leading designer and manufacturer of a wide variety of air conditioners, memory chips, LCD and LED panels and energy solutions such as consumer to industrial heating units.
- The Vehicle Components division, Sunwoo Electronics has been manufacturing and selling components automobiles since 1993 under reforms of the industry by the DSRA then a state-owned business. It provides high-tech electronics components to vehicles along with mechanical aspects such as air conditioner systems.
