Tala Volta (2929-present) is the 13th and current Supreme and Holy Leader of Magarsha. He is a member of the Volta family which has ruled Magarsha for 577 years, and has ruled in an absolute capacity for 573 years. He was chosen to succeed his father upon his death, since he was the first child. He immediately assumed office upon the death of his father in 2966 at the age of 36.
Tala Volta’s rule has shown to be fairly mild compared to some historic Voltan leaders. While Tala has pursued the typical Magarshan goal of world dominance, he has not participated in war or overtly violent practices. Some of his more notable achievements include decreasing corruption in the police force, annexation processes of Sranca and Doitlan, and an expansion of the space force.
As Supreme and Holy Leader of Magarsha, he has absolute control of the government, and is the leader and living deity for Voltanism. His council of dinoks has no power and is only able to give suggestions to Volta. Volta, along with many previous Leaders, has maintained a small and personal government. This has solidified full power to the Volta family and has reduced the chances of an internal coup. Government processes have also been streamlined, leading to the quickest implementation time for acts of government in the world. Volta has quickened the process even further by installing an immediate private system of communication across the country to each govor, which then extends to each law enforcement department.
Under Volta, relations have improved with most nations, except for the Federation of Sol and its close allies. Some of these relationships, specifically with European and eastern American, have been labeled as predatory by the Federation due to biased economic and military treaties. There is little information about Volta’s plans, however he has accelerated the annexation processes of Sranca and Doitlan and clearly begun the process with Tania. Volta has announced on several occasions that Transinta is of great importance to Magarsha and many wealthy Magarshans as well as the Magarsha World Bank have made substantial investments in the country. Additionally, Volta suspended various operations in Transinta. This leads many to believe Volta will not pursue any annexation measures on the country.
Volta has directly challenged the Federation in their expansion in space as well as the world. Both Volt Ert and Volt Hok were launched during Volta’s term and are intended to be core space stations to be built on in the future. Volta has established large space force ships near Federation stations as well as huge floating naval bases near Federation, Sibran, and Lakan territory. Volta has condemned the Federation for attempting to take over the world after abandoning it in the 2300s. This is very ironic, as Hok Volta severed contact with the Federation in 2427.
