The Daily Chronicle (French: L'Chronique Quotidien) is a Gylian newspaper, founded in 1966.

History

It was founded in 1966. In the context of the "constructive"–"recalcitrant" battle within Gylian conservatism, the paper criticised the centre-right's use of the Centre Group as a vessel, and proclaimed itself radical centrist.

The 1990s saw it adopt new technology such as digital printing, establish its website, and digitise its archives through BiblioNet.

Profile

Its political orientation is radical centrist, claiming adherence to a radical heritage. It is notably supportive of Gylian drug policy, humorously embracing its name's similarity to "chronic", a slang term for cannabis.

It publishes editions in English, French, and Gylic, with the latter edition using the various Gylic languages based on the native language of the respective writer or region referred to in the story.

Ownership and organisation

The Daily Chronicle is owned and published by Chroniclers, legally constituted as an SA. Its headquarters are in Nyretak, Nauras.

The newspaper has a 5-member Management Board and a 10-member Supervisory Board, elected yearly.

Its revenue comes from newsagent's sales, paid subscriptions, online orders, and donations. Donors are listed at the end of each issue. It accepts classified advertising.
