Anti-corruption campaign
Renata's campaign against corruption began shortly after her dismissal of the Crown's Delegation to the National Conference in 2014. Under Renata's direction investigators from the Bureau of Special Affairs and Imperial Military Police launched a probe into the graft that lead to the dismissal of the Delegation to the National Conference and uncovered a far reaching pattern of abuses of power, unlawful practices, and rampant violations of social norms expected of delegates. The revelations of the initial probe led to a wider examination of the government's employees, ranging from high level member of the Beringian Fascist Party to local civil servants. At Emerald City's 2015 New Year's celebrations, Renata announced that details regarding the original dismissals would be made public and she would make a statement on the implications of the decision.
The campaign formally started with the arrest of the original Delegation to the National Conference on charges of misuse of government funds, abuse of power, graft, and other charges in early 2015. The former officials were forced to apologize to the Beringian people and the God-Empress at a public event for their crimes and for "tainting the government created in [the God-Empress's] name". Renata formally announced the campaign at the event, saying that "Deviation from the regime's course will not be tolerated". Most of the subsequent investigations followed a similar pattern where officials were removed from office, ejected from the fascist party, arrested, and forced to confess to their crimes and apologize publicly.
As of 2017, the campaign has saw the arrest of nearly 200 high ranking officials and over 120,000 government employees in total. Since 2015 the campaign has been largely coordinated and executed by the Bureau of Special Affairs with arrests and prosecution being carried out by the Imperial Military Police. The format of confessions has been standardized as well, with voluntarily written admissions of guilt being required before sentencing. Written accounts are circulated in the home town's of the accused, posted on community boards and distributed in news papers. Since 2016, former government officials have also been required to appear on televised confessions or publicly confess at community gatherings. Renata has also instituted new rules for government employees to improve their work styles which highlighted frugality with public funds and deterred extravagant lifestyles which often led to corruption. Since 2015, as many as 100 rules and regulations have been created or amended to combat corruption. The Committee on Party Discipline was also created to take over anti-corruption efforts from the Bureau of Special Affairs.
