The Federal Informer (French reformed: L'Informateure Féderelle) is a Gylian newspaper, founded in 1964.

History

It was founded in 1964, by several former employees of The National Observer and The Evening Courier who wished to represent an ordoliberal line that they felt did not fit with the existing papers.

The 1990s saw it adopt new technology such as digital printing, establish its website, and digitise its archives through BiblioNet. It found a degree of influence in the decade as its profile was aligned with that of the Mathilde Vieira government, but later suffered a decline in circulation.

Profile

Its political orientation is liberal, specifically ordoliberalism. It is statist but pro-emancipated markets, supporting the ideal of a social market economy.

It publishes editions in English, French, and Gylic, with the latter edition using the various Gylic languages based on the native language of the respective writer or region referred to in the story.

Ownership and organisation

The Federal Informer is owned and published by Fedinf, legally constituted as an SP. Its headquarters are in Riáona, Ḑarna.

The newspaper has a 5-member Management Board and a 10-member Supervisory Board, elected yearly.

Its revenue comes from newsagent's sales, paid subscriptions, online orders, and donations. Donors are listed at the end of each issue. It accepts classified advertising.
