The unincorporated territories of Haiha are unclaimed lands because even though Manaban is internationally recognized to regulate the zone, there is a tribal agreement with the government so the ethnic groups that live on it can freely travel through both Manaban and Yuan without any major inconveniences. Neither Yuan nor Manaban claim these lands, there are no public services like sewage, electricity or public transport in this area provided by any government.

It's an area encompassing 20,580 sq kms that derives its name from the most popular clan, the Haiha; located in Southwestern Ausiana right to the north of Manaban and to the south of Yuan.

History

During the Manabanese and Yuanese independence movements, the areas bwtween both countries were the most affected due to the fact that these were the parts where the border had to be drawn and this proved to be the most difficult part in a turbulent, revolutionary period. This led to previous towns near the border to disappear after years of neglect from either government. Many people became nomads or migrated to larger cities north or south. The ones that became nomads were later assimilated by the Haiha either in intermarriage or acculturation.

Modern history

The Manaban government has tried to incorporate the area into the Manabanese grid as humanitarian help, international pressure and also by pure political propaganda but neither try has been successful. People say that due to the lack of regulation in the territories, the Haiha have started running an illegal caravan with gamble and drug dealing. Stronger control has been applied in the regional borders.
