Utopadia (Utopadian: 유토파디아) or officially known as The Republic of Utopadia (Utopadian: 유토파디아 공화국) is a country in Western Olivacia, Anteria, sharing borders with Abadonnai in the West. The country covers PENDING with large island constituents to the North and East of its mainland. Aleph is the capital and largest city.
Utopadia has its roots in the Patriotic Times of 1943 when the Peoples Party of Peshon, headed by Rhee-sung, overthrew the Federal Monarchy that was in power. Establishing the Peshon Republic, with its name later changed to the Republic of Utopadia. Upon the conclusion of the civil war, the government implemented socialist economic policies, restraining of private property (escalating to a complete ban of private enterprises) and heavy taxes of many commercial goods.
Following Rhee-sungs death in 1988, Choe Dehuai, the current Gestalt Minister, took seat. Moving away from the agrarian-forcused economy of Rhee-sung, a period of industralization and collectivization begun, leading to a great famine, massacares of perceived political opponents and forced relocation of ethnic minorities. Political paranoia was fermented in this age, resulting in a purge of perceived opponents within the military and party, as well as harsher policies being implemented.
On 1991, the last year of its famine, a coalition of revolutionary groups headed by primarily the Peshon Free Peoples lead an uprising in the regions of Peshon and Gohan. Utopadian forces eventually recaptured the areas by 1992, but with the coalition forces continuing to fight until 1994.
According to Article 0 of its constitution, Utopadia is a multi-party republic with elections for all civilians of age, however independent international observers have observed these to be "sham elections". There is a comprehensive cult of personality around the Monad, of whos identity is intentionally not revealed.
Most services such as education, healthcare, housing and food production are state-funded, and the nation has declared that its greatest priority is "military and deterrence". Furthermore Utopadia is a nation with a great number of miltary and paramilitary personnel, officially with a total of 9.207 million active, reserve and paramilitary. However, international observers have identified the figure as likely falsified.
