Vitalo is a multinational drink and vitamin supplement company based in the United Kingdom of Malgrave. It produces a wide-range of drink products and vitamin supplements, with a focus on providing vitamins and other health benefits to consumers through drink. Vitalo is mostly associated with Puffa-Cola, a popular beverage originally designed to be a vitamin booster which soon became a popular soft drink which actively competes with Omsk Consumer Products and Teslaade.

Vitalo has some physical stores within Malgrave, however, the majority of these closed during the Lost Decade and now their products are predominantly sold in MalMart and the Portmon Personal Market. Vitalo also works with MalMart on overseas reach, although, it also works with other private markets when possible.

History

Vitalo was founded by a group of employees from MalPha in 1934. In advertisements around the time Vitalo was promoted as a way to bypass the shortfalls of the present rationing system by providing additional vitamin and health supplements to add to products usually deemed to hold little to no nutritional value.

It originally sold powder supplements which could be mixed into food and drinks, however, this changed in 1938 when Vitalo announced the production of a carbonated beverage to be called Puffa-Cola. Puffa-Cola contains many vitamins like B6 and B2 and was popularised as a health-focused drink sold through pharmacy stores in the country, although, not originally popular it soon became a national drink of choice after the discovery of Malgravean Immunodeficiency Disorder in the 1950s.

In 1940 Vitalo expanded into other beverage markets by selling the first ready to drink lemon-tea beverage available in Malgrave. It has since expanded to selling a variety of ready to drink teas including honey, peach and chrysanthemum.

Expansion

In 1952 Vitalo started working closely with the government to develop a new beverage to be sold in schools. Vitalo developed three products, a slightly sweetened soy drink called VitalSoy, a flavoured soy banana milk drink called VitalBanana and a fortified version of fruit soup that were all picked up and served in schools across the country.

As a response to this and the emergence of MIDD Vitalo products started to become more popular, and dozens of Vitalo stores started to appear all over the country to meet the rising demand. In advertisements at the time Vitalo products were promoted not only as a suitable product to help tackle the problems of MIDD but also help children in school and benefit conscripts serving in the Territorial Defence Force.

In 1972 to celebrate the release of VitalSoy, Vitalo released Water Refresh, a fortified water drink designed to help those exercising recover minerals lost from excessive sweat. It was mostly used by athletes until it became popularised by the unified UKM-SRM table tennis team who drank the drink while competiting in overseas competitions.

Following the conclusion of the civil war Vitalo continued to grow, however, the emergence of the Lost Decade caused Vitalo to struggle and many stores closed around the country. In 1994 it was rumoured that Vitalo was about to close, however, a temporary pay freeze negotiated by representatives of the Most Illustrious Glorious Confederation of Proud Malgravean Proletarians and a worker-focused campaign resulted in revenues rising and the company was saved.

Since the Lost Decade Vitalo has become known as one of the most worker-friendly companies in Malgrave with above-average pay increases and plentiful holiday weeks, and Vitalo products are always served at MIGCPMP meetings.

In 2003 Vitalo started to produce Dornalian-style milk tea made with condensed soy milk.

Vitalo worked closely with idols and actors, with Choi Iseul and Kim Hye-jin often filming promotions with the company. In addition Kim Yoo-jung has also worked with the company to help promote the Free Democratic Youth
