William Eilish (born November 11, 1963) is a Zamastanian politician and engineer who currently serves as the Governor of Verdesia since 2018 as a member of the Blue Conservative Party. Eilish earned a bachelor's degree in civil and environmental engineering from the Svalberg Institute of Technology. He has served as chief executive officer of the Aebutius-based strategic consulting group called Hedd Firm. As governor, Eilish oversaw the phasing out of Verdesia's provincial income tax—on dividends and interest income, slightly reducing selected other taxes, and instituting targeted student loan relief for those entering the healthcare, biotechnology, and social work fields. He has vetoed a bill which would have increased the limit for renewable energy projects participating in net metering.
