The coat of arms of the absolute royal federation and Imeriata proper is the Stjärnkhrone house personal coat of arms and has been so since the unification of Imeriata proper in 474, even during the reign of the Öaherre usurpers so were the eagle used alongside their own house sigil on the great coat of arms.
Originally were the eagle depicted on the heraldry more stylised and looked like the one on the old flag and the royal aerocorps flag. This depiction can be found in older books and rune inscriptions and dates back to the old river kings and old tapestries shows Huskarls and riverkings with the old eagle.
It is however unknown when the eagle was changed to the more realistic version but heraldry and paintings from the 11th century shows the newer heraldry and the earliest known example is from "Heraldri boken" written as early as 1023 where the eagle of the crown is used as the Stjärnkhrone house's heraldry.
Blazon
According to federal law or "Royal decree of the heraldry of the crown of 826" so must the federal greater coat of arms be depicting as such:
"A shield Argent, an Or eagle of the stjärnkhrone house in the center of the shield covers most of the shield. The shield is crowned by the silver crown of the absolute royal federation and surrounded by the chain of the federal order of the golden sword. Supported by an angel in Argent robes and wearing the plate armour of an Eröfringsman on the dexter side and by Imer the great wearing his lion cloak, Azure tunic and chequered Gules and Azure trousers, crowned with the silver crown and armed with his axe on the sinister side. All surrounded by ermine and Azure mantling, crowned with the silver crown and tied up with tasseladorned strings Or."
Versions
The version of the coat of arms without the ermine mantling is a legal version and is officially used on documents but it is rarely in use as the larger version is preferred. It is however used from time to time when the letter is sent on the behalf of the Stjärnkhrone royal family and organisations tied to the house rather than the crown.
The two lesser versions are while legal not used on a federal level, instead so are they used by authorities operating solely in a realm but under the high king rather than the local vassal.
