The Organization of Latin States (Latin: Latine Civitatibus Instituendis, often abbreviated as LCI) is an international organization comprised of Latin speaking nations, and mostly former territories of the Latin Empire. Its purpose is to promote intergovernmental cooperation among its members and aids in the planning and development of regional projects in education, science, technology and the arts. In 1950, the LCI members signed a secondary treaty regarding intelligence.
The LCI secretariat was formerly based in Ascanium, the former capital of Latium at the time of the organizations founding, and is now based in Castellum ab Alba, maintaining regional offices in Belfras and Fakolana. The organization is formally led by Latin Emperor Constantine XX. The First Secretary serves as the head of the LCI secretariat, and representing the LCI internationally. The current First Secretary is PLACEHOLDER, who has served since XXXX.
