The Chancellor of Aucuria (Ruttish: Aukurijos kancleris) has functioned as the country's head of government from 1843 to 1928 and from 1980 to the present. The chancellor is officially selected by the President of Aucuria immediately following the inauguration of the president and the incoming Saeimas; in practice, the individual chosen is the leader of the largest party or coalition in the Saeimas. The nominee is then approved by the Saeimas using a simple majority vote.

While Žygimantas Čaprackas briefly held the title ad interim beforehand, Vilimas Sagaitis is typically regarded as the first Chancellor of Aucuria. The longest-serving chancellor was Žygimantas Ramanauskas, who served for 10 years, 2 months, and 3 days after being acclaimed as "chancellor with dictatorial powers" during the Aucurian Civil War; the shortest-serving chancellor (excluding those who served on an interim basis), Eugenijus Vamanas, was also the country's first indigenous chancellor and served only 11 months and 22 days before losing a vote of no confidence. The current chancellor, since 2019, is Petras Uspelevičius of the Social Democratic Party.
