Deep Blue Ascension is a 1997 techno-thriller novel by TBA during the Cold War.
Plot summary
A Otterup Pact ship goes rogue in the midst of a regional conflict in southern Ashizwe with both Otterup Pact and Free Pardes forces on high alert. The DSRA and PSRG sail out their submarines to sink the renegade vessel under the pretext of a joint military operation. Two Goredemabwan Tarango-class vessels are sent out to hunt a rogue Otterup Pact ship in the Central Ocean nearby Southern Asihzwe. Anikatian People's Navy Captain Chung Yong-gi, of the fictional S-124 Songoryu-class submarine leads the chase to find the ship. Meanwhile Commonwealth Navy Captain Aaron Taylor, commander of a Arthuristan Triumphant-class submarine is patrolling the area and figures out something up.

The novel is being adapted into movie released in 2016, starring:
- Lee Seo-jun as Chung Yong-gi
- Donal Marino as Captain Aaron Taylor
There were several differences between the novel and the film, mostly to simplify, the two Goredemabwan Tarango-class submarine roles were greatly reduced in the film and the order of many events also has been changed.
