Robert Leipzig was born in Epping on the 11th of August 1960 as a child Robert was involved with the Gabriel Narutowicz Pioneers as they organised to raise funds for the Territorial Defence Force and support charitable efforts to support those displaced and hurt during the Malgravean Civil War.

As Robert transitioned from the Pioneers to the Free Democratic Youth, a major shift in his life occurred as his father Johann Leipzig was arrested for corruption. After Johann's conviction for treason Robert's mother made the decision to move to an apartment with Omsk, and become very heavily involved with the Ancestral Study Group over the following years.

Air Force

In 1978 Robert volunteered for service the Malgravean Air Force as an alternative to serving his conscription in the Territorial Defence Force. Robert received their training at the National Air Force Academy in Epping, as part of their flight training they flew the propeller Avro Flea before transferring to a trainer version of the Avro Vampire.

Robert finished his training in 1980 receiving the rank of Junior Lieutenant and were assigned to the 9th fighter squadron attached to Pakosc Air Force Base. Between 1980 and 1983, Robert flew missions out of Pakosc in support of operations being conducted by the Territorial Defence Force in the closing stages of the Malgravean Civil War.

After the conclusion of the civil war Robert was transferred to Aurora and tasked with coordinating actions between the Air Force and the Malgravean Royal Navy as part of efforts to safeguard the Malgravean border, a position he held until he left the service in 2000.

Minister of National Defence

Robert Leipzig was included as a candidate for the Progressive Unity Party for the 2000 Malgravean General Election and was able to pick up a seat representing Epping. Robert was not initially picked for a position within the Tesla administration due to concerns how appointing someone that had recently left the military, however, following the resignation of Ivan Fermi in 2005 he was put forward as a prospective replacement and appointed a few weeks later.

As Minister of National Defence, Robert assisted the modernisation of the Malgravean Armed Forces which allowed it to engage in Operation Infinite Reach. Robert also called for proactive intervention in Crystal Spires and is credited with helping organise many of the humanitarian operations that took place during this time.

In spite of this good service in the aftermath of the Great Humiliation Robert was criticised by the Royal Malgravean Times and deficiencies found in the performance of the Malgravean Air Force led to him resigning.

Since his resignation Robert has worked within the Ministry of National Defence to continue earlier projects he started while serving as a Minister. It has been reported that improvements to unmanned aircraft, the widespread deployment of railgun technology and the integration of nanites and ancestral technology in the Armed Forces are all initiatives that started under his time as Minister.
