They are resilient people, able to take extreme damage without dying, and are capable of regenerating lost limbs or even organs given time. Draconars although are known to be sluggish, apathetic of their environment save for their immediate possessions, and have problems dealing with cold.

The Beastmen is a collective term for the various racial groups residing in Eleutheria. They compose most of the population residing in Tull Island, with over ninety-percent of their populace. Beastmen are distant cousins of humans, having the same body layout and common ancestors. It is hypothesized their evolutionary history was constructed through artificial means, likely in the eras before the slave ships of the Lethariil made their maiden voyage.

Origin

It is unknown where the Beastmen have originated. Their presence dates back to the Lethariil Empire era in 8,000 BC from slave ships, similar to the origin of the other races in Eleutheria.

Appearances

Attributes

The main differences between beastmen and human beings are the presence of animalistic features, presence of race-dependent tails, and a varying skin-color. Any offspring between species that are not their own results in either one of their parents’ genes being rendered inactive, until their descendant’s subsequent child. This results into a lack of notable hybrid features, and seemingly helps prevent defects born from mismatched DNA. The simultaneous activation or deactivation results in stillbirth early into the first trimester of fetal development, though such events are a rarity.

Markings are common in the races of Beastmen, and are identical to a person's unique fingerprints.

Canics

Wolves, or more derogatively, dogs of Rorfreth. They are described to be territorial, emotional, accepting of authority, and to prefer to settle things through force. Their defining features are their canine ears, enhanced sense of smell and great physical fitness. In most eras, the Canics have served as a warrior caste under numerous kings both lupine and not, earning them the name "Dogs of the Military".
