The Ackesian Republican Guard.... | The Ackesian Republican Guard or less formally the Guard is the armed forces of the Greater Ackesian Republic and answers to the Commander in Chief of the Ackesian armed forces, be it the Chamber of Proxy or the President. Formed in 1990 after the War of Opposing Salvation the Guard started as the organized forces of rebellion aligned organizations and the remnant of the Royal Army which was surrendered and turned over to the Republic by the Prince of Avondale. The Republican Guard consists of 3 branches: The Republican Army the largest of the three and the most noteworthy of Ackesia's fighting forces, the Republican Marine a well respected Navy throughout the world projecting Ackesian power on trade lanes and abroad, and the Repubican Air Force a branch built to defend the homeland and support the other branches.
The Republican Guard during peacetime is administered by the Minister General a non-executive branch minister who reports directly to the Chamber of Proxy. The Chamber acts as the commander and chief of the Guard unless they authorize to give such powers to the President in emergency or war situations. The Minister General is a civilian but also acts as a commander during peace time operations and supports the commander in chief during all situations. Organizationally it is the Minister General's duty to establish a Joint-Forces Command to control all three branches and compel them to work together during operations.

==Doctrine== | ==Doctrine==
The Republican Guard as an organization's objectives are to fulfill its doctrines which consist of 5 missions specific to Ackesia's domestic and international interests. These doctrines each have a wider scope and consist of many sub-doctrines, but in an effort to streamline and better organize the Guard to its mission set, 5 overarching missions were developed as part of a force modernization. These missions are continuous and happen during both peace and war time scenarios. Many of these missions are also fulfilled with international military partners such as fellow members of the RESP alliance.
===Security of Trade Routes===
One of the primary missions of the Republican Guard that historically receives the most attention from policy makers is the security of Ackesia's vast network of trade routes. From sea to road to rail the Republican Guard ensures the security of Ackesia's growing market of energy exports during all modes of transport and refinement. Particularly the Republican Marine is incredibly active patrolling trade routes on the Rosel Ocean to ensure sea lanes are secure from piracy and corruption. The Republican Army also plays a large part in securing of large trade hubs within the nation as well as abroad, monitoring security teams and providing leveraging support to security officials.
===Border Security===
| |||
Defense of the Homeland is a high profile mission set for the Republican Guard as the nation's large geographic size and proximity to unstable nationstates make its long borders a gateway for nefarious actors and those who wish harm on the citizens of Ackesia. To that end Border Security is a large part of all three branches' mission sets with the Army securing land borders and border crossings (while partnered with the Ministry of the Interior's agencies), the Air Force surveying both land and sea borders from the air, and the Marine securing coastlines and ports of entry.
===Contingency Operations Abroad===
As a fighting force the Ackesian Republican Guard is prepared to conduct operations abroad in a variety of different scenarios from war time operations with an opposing nation state, to anti-terrorism operations abroad, or simply projecting Ackesian power beyond its borders. The Ackesian Army assisted with the Royal Marine and Air Force as well as its many allies is able to deploy to all reaches of the world to participate in various levels of conflict. The Air Force can project from air fields in allies nations and from the homeland to bring kinetic action, intelligence gathering, and shows of force. The Republican Marine has a constant forward presence able to strike targets far from the Ackesian homeland with various weapon systems such as aircraft carriers or submarines.
==Anti-Terror/Police Actions in a Civil Environment==
Aside from being a defensive force to protect the national integrity of Ackesia. The Guard can also be called upon to perform duties as a gendarmerie, acting as a federal police force which is employed to enforce national laws, maintain peace in wartime and high intensity civil actions during peace time, and protect the homeland from terrorism. While there are specialty units that are assigned to guard ports both sea and air, form task forces to fight terrorism, maintain the peace in riot situations, and protect border crossings, all units within the Guard are trained and prepared to be deployed to respond to all types of integral situations that maintain the peace of Ackesia. Commanders when given the authority by both Ministry of Defense and Interior Ministry authorities, have the resources to address situations in an appropriate manner, and secure critical junctures from becoming vulnerable situations. Examples of such actions could be enforcing extra border and port security, forming task forces to answer certain criminal or terrorist activities, or aiding local authorities in their day to day activities.
===Disaster and Humanitarian Relief===
As the largest body within the Ackesian government, the Republican Guard is the most prepared to both maneuver to in an expedited manner, and handle situations in which Ackesian communities have experienced a disaster. Both through providing specialty services be it medical aide or engineering support, or supporting rescue efforts, all branches of the Republican Guard is prepared when called upon in a national emergency.

Ranks
Ranks within the Republican Guard are broken into both enlisted and officer. Enlistments are voluntary in nature and those who wish to seek commission in the Guard either do so after completion of secondary school or through one of Ackesia's military academies.

Doctrine
The Republican Guard as an organization's objectives are to fulfill its doctrines which consist of 5 missions specific to Ackesia's domestic and international interests. These doctrines each have a wider scope and consist of many sub-doctrines, but in an effort to streamline and better organize the Guard to its mission set, 5 overarching missions were developed as part of a force modernization. These missions are continuous and happen during both peace and war time scenarios. Many of these missions are also fulfilled with international military partners such as fellow members of the RESP alliance.
Security of Trade Routes
Border Security
Defense of the Homeland is a high profile mission set for the Republican Guard as the nation's large geographic size and proximity to unstable nationstates make its long borders a gateway for nefarious actors and those who wish harm on the citizens of Ackesia. To that end Border Security is a large part of all three branches' mission sets with the Army securing land borders and border crossings (while partnered with the Ministry of the Interior's agencies), the Air Force surveying both land and sea borders from the air, and the Marine securing coastlines and ports of entry.
Contingency Operations Abroad
Anti-Terror/Police Actions in a Civil Environment
Disaster and Humanitarian Relief
As the largest body within the Ackesian government, the Republican Guard is the most prepared to both maneuver to in an expedited manner, and handle situations in which Ackesian communities have experienced a disaster. Both through providing specialty services be it medical aide or engineering support, or supporting rescue efforts, all branches of the Republican Guard is prepared when called upon in a national emergency.
