The ruling Ilarian government lead by Juan Sebastián Chicote managed to uncover the plot, and declared war against Guadosalam on 15 June 1942. The conflict also involved Secadia, which formed an alliance with its western neighbor after denying trade deals from Archadia and Guadosalam which their government views as unfair.
