Operation Overture (2 April - 15 May 1943) was a codename for a series of commando raids that took place in the Guadonian region of the Canalia Islands. The raids were carried out by the SAS trained Special Parachute Regiment I, the newly-formed Estharian and Balambian Legion, and the newly-formed Ilarian DOE. The operation itself is considered to be the largest commando operation carried out during the Sixth Zacaya War.

The operation was planned out in response to the Guadonian Case Axe, which was the Imperial plan to drag Ingelmia into the war by inciting a pro-Imperial rebellion in Ingelmia. The Imperial-trained Rufo Pinelli was chosen to head the Ingelmian government, and the Ingelmian head of the army, Valente Camisa openly supported his taking of power. The case of having a pro-Imperial government in Ingelmia was unacceptable to the Allies, as this would activate Ingelmia's large dormant armed forces that can threaten both New Akiba and Zanarkand. Immediately, Prime Minister Randolph W.S. Churchill appealed to the SOE to create a force to prevent such event from happening.

Several forms of espionage, sabotage, and subversion were undertaken during the operation. The most well-known actions were: - Operation Knight, the sabotage of an hydroelectric power plant being converted into a heavy water plant. - Mission Talon, the sabotage of a vital bridge that served as a key route for Imperial supplies. - Operation Anchor, the destruction of an Imperial port in Canalia. - Operation Haven, the assassination of Ingelmian Minister Rufo Pinelli

The operation's success eventually proved to the Ingelmians that the Imperials were incapable of waging a full-scale war by that time, which eventually forced Camisa to pull Ingelmia out of the deal. However, this enabled Camisa to take advantage of the situation and install a military junta in Ingelmia, which eventually attempted to annex New Akiba during the Post Second Europan War Crisis of 1945, which led to the Oceanian Islands War, which lasted until the end of the War of Lorican Aggression.
