The Ministry of Energy, Infrastructure & Environment is a cabinet-level agency of the Empire Of Makko Oko, responsible for national climate policy and international cooperation on climate change, as well as energy issues, meteorology and national geological surveys, electricity, water, wastewater services and industry. The ministry's headquarters are located in the capital city of Opposh. The current Minister of Energy, Infrastructure & Environment is Reginald Ginther, who has held the post since November 21st, 2023.
History
The Ministry of Energy, Infrastructure & Environment was founded on December 29th, 2022, a day after the enactment of EISRA, or the Electricity Infrastructure Security and Reliability Act, that consolidated the Ministry Of Environment Protection & Agriculture and the Ministry Of Infrastructure & Technology into one cabinet-level ministerial department, in charge of infrastructure development, energy policies and environmental policies. The Minister Of Environment Protection & Agriculture at the time of the consolidation, Danielle Katz, was transferred to become the first agency director of the newly-formed Wildlife & Territory Protection Office.
