Alexandria-Prussia Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is a department in HM Government and is charge with the responsibility of protecting and preserving the land, air, water, and public health through enforcement of the central governments environmental laws and regulations. The Department was created by Environmental Reorganization Act of 2019, which split the Department of Environmental Resources into the Department of Environmental Protection and the Department of Forests, Parks and Wildlife
The Department of Environmental Protection is charged with the responsibility for development of a balanced ecological system incorporating social, cultural, and economic needs of the all Alexandria-Prussia through development and protection. The department is responsible for administering the centrak government land, air, and water management programs, all aspects of environmental protection, and the regulation of mining operations on central government owned-lands.
DEP has enforcement powers include fines, sanctions, and other measures. The agency also works with industries and all levels of government in a wide variety of voluntary pollution prevention programs and energy conservation efforts.

Terms and List of Secretaries
The Secretary of Environmental Protection must be confirmed by a simple majority vote in the House of Lords. Once confirmed by the House of Lords the secretary is appointed a four year term. There are no term limits on how long a secretary may serve. As of August 2020 there have only been one Secretary.
