The Lucis-Erebonian Wars of 1850-1858 was a conflict between the Lucis Empire and the Erebonian Empire that began when Erebonian Navy ships sunk several Lucian ships docked in the Port of Hafnarfjörður in the Erebonian colony of Iceland. The provocation sparked anger in the Lucis Empire and immediately declared war against the Erebonian Empire. In 1852, the first Lucian troops landed in the Lamarre Province of Erebonia. The Erebonians were prepared for an invasion but not to the extent of the skillfulness and intuition of the Lucis Armed Forces, which greatly shocked the Erebonian General's Staff and the Field Marshal Konrad Hadrada himself. The Erebonians fought with fierce determination but were outclassed heavily by the Lucis Army in terms of technology and strategy. In 1858, the Erebonians surrendered and signed the Treaty of Kongsberg to mark the end of the war. Western Erebonia was to be turned over to the Lucis Empire and became the Dominion of Erebonia until 1920.

The war however bought Erebonia its international recognition, being one of the most prominent English-speaking countries in Zemuria, as well as securing a place in the Commonwealth of Nations.
