Astyria Corporation, trading as AstCorp, is a multinational Astyrian company based in Kirkland, State of Astyria, ViZion. It acts as a holding company for many of the region's major businesses and is one of the largest such entities in the world. Its major interests include telecommunications and airlines.
Formed from a merger of many of Astyria's best-known brands, AstCorp met with only limited initial success and a lukewarm reception despite its bid to become an international economic giant. It was repeatedly troubled by questions of portfolio management, especially of its substantial but loss-making telecoms holdings.
Though troubled, the company manages to keep its tread water in the market, and constantly shuffling its troubled assets around.
